Center for International Studies made the contract of the research project by the name of “A Research on Overseas
Koreans for the Development of a Policy for the Next-Generation of Overseas
Koreans in the U.S. and Japan” with the Overseas Koreans Foundation on June 25th,
2020.
Period: June 19th, 2020-January 14th, 2021
Research Fund: 70,000,000 KRW.
Goal of the Project:
◯ to understand and to analyze organizations of the next-generation of overseas Koreans and marginalized young Overseas Koreans in the U.S. and Japan
- to provide the Overseas Koreans Foundation guidelines to develop a long-term strategy and a policy of customized aids and utilization through the research on organizations in each region.
◯ to suggest ways of supporting and utilizing organizations of the next-generation of overseas Koreans as a long-term business strategy
◯ to provide criteria and comparable data for a future research and a policy making on the next-generation of overseas Koreans in other regions.
