Notice about how to apply for leave of absence (2020-Spring, International Students except for New students who didn't enroll)

(New students who didn’t enroll for 2020-spring and GKS students, please consult with graduate school office individually)

The recipients of this email are all graduate school int’l students and new int'l students who already completed enrollment process(Feb.24~28) of graduate school.

Please note that Inha graduate school allow int’l student's leave of absence temporarily only for 2020-Spring semester as KCDC has raised the level of "red alert" for the new coronavirus.

All students who want to apply for leave of absence, please keep in mind that you should submit all below document by deadline.

1. Application Deadline) : April 2(Thu)

(Application will not be accepted in any case after deadline)

2. Application Documents - Send scanfile via email

1) Application form

- Please write down period of leave of absence as March 16 to August 30.

2) Letter of Confirmation, by adviser

- Deliver “Letter of Confirmation” (attachment) to your adviser, let him/her sign on it and send scanfile directlry to jinny@inha.ac.kr

- If you’re new students and don’t know email address or office no. of adviser, please refer to attachment “Admission(2020-Spring) – Academic Advisers and Designated Subjects” of below site link.

3) Pledge on Immigration Affairs

- Never been in Korea(new students) : You don’t have to submit this.

- Please write down your “application(submission) date” as “date of leave of absence” on the pledge.

- Even though you’re already in your home country, you should fill out pledge. Write down your flight schedule even it’s schedule in the past.

4) Flight e-Ticket which you booked

- Only who’re currently staying in korea submit this

- New students who're in their countries don't have to submit

5) Alien card front/back page photo

- New students don’t have to submit

6) Students who already paid for insurance fee of 2020-Spring : Application form of insurance fee refund & bankbook copy

- New students don’t have to submit this

4. Others

1) Students who apply for leave of absence must depart in 2 weeks since the day of submission of application form. (If students are F Visa holder, no need to depart) * Please contact international center if you have other questions regarding Visa.(hyemi0212@inha.ac.kr)

2) If students already enrolled for 2020-Spring, your 2020-Fall semester’s tuition fee will be exempted when you come back. (Same with Korean students)

3) If students already enrolled for 2020-Spring and paid for insurance at the same time, please submit document “2-6)” “Application Form for Refund”. Then you’ll get refund at the end of April or beginning of May.

4) Students can finish their academic break by following steps mentioned in email guidance which will be sent in June. You apply for D2 visa by visiting Korean embassy in your home country during July. (Of course, university send you “Certificate of Admission” again for better/faster process)
