Feb/3(Mon) update
Cancellation of all orientation sessions for all incoming international students announced.
Postponement of Spring Graduation Ceremony to August.
Cancellation of Commencement Ceremony.
Cancellation of conferences to be held within Inha Univ.
Guidelines for refraining business trips announced.
Postponement of Korean Language Institute semester start date for one week
Feb/4(Tues) update
Faculty library reading rooms closed
Hand sanitizers were displayed at the University Central Library and wearing masks become compulsory for entrance
Feb/5(Wed) update
City of Incheon and 15 universities located in Incheon conducted meeting for controlling Corona Virus.
City of Incheon decided to provide airport pick-up service foreign students.
City of Incheon decided to provide assistance for purchasing masks and hand sanitizers.
Inha informed international students on the change of arrival date for 2020 Spring Semester.
Feb/6(Thurs) update
Inha announced two-week delay of 2020 Spring semester (i.e. March 16)
The end of semester date remains the same. (i.e. June 16)
(Make-up class for week 1 & 2’s lectures to be provided on Saturdays).
Feb/7(Fri) update
Established transportation scheme for Chinese students in consultation with the City of Incheon.
City of Incheon provides 1:1 airport arrival pick-up services for Chinese students to help the reach their accommodation without public transportation.
Feb/11 (Tue) update
Inha took enhanced measures below:
Temperature taking at the entrance of dormitory buildings at all times
Non-permission for the use of university facilities by organizations that are not affiliated with the university
All university faculty/staff are
advised not to travel abroad
Feb/13 (Thu) update
People who are not wearing face
masks are advised not to use elevators on campus.
Feb/14 (Fri) update
The Government of Korea recommends
that citizens defer all non-essential travel overseas because of ongoing concerns
with the novel coronavirus.
Feb/17 (Mon) update
Chinese students entering Korea before March 2 are required to have the 14-day self-quarantine.
Chinese students entering Korea after March 2 and staying at the university dorm are placed in individual rooms for 14 days.
Chinese students from the virus-affected
areas in China are strongly advised to take a leave of absence.
Feb/20 (Thu) update
The City of Incheon decides to sterilize off-campus apartments at the back gate of the university campus.
Feb/27 (Thu) update
Officials from the Ministry of Education visits the campus to inspect the measures taken by the university in response to the virus outbreak.
The university measures have been
well acknowledged by the government for its effectiveness.
Mar/2 (Mon) update
The university decides that for
the first two weeks of the semester, all courses will be offered online.
Mar/3 (Tue) update
Student guides for the prevention of the novel coronavirus are distributed.
