< Policy on COVID-19 Treatment costs for foreigners >

1. As of Aug. 17th, foreign arrivals infected with the coronavirus are required to pay the costs for their treatment if they are found to have violated quarantine rules, ①Leaving the quarantine location without permission ②False submission of PCR test result, etc.

2. As of Aug. 24th, foreign arrivals infected with the coronavirus are charged a different amount of the treatment costs based on the principle of international relations regarding Coronavirus prevention.

○ Countries that support treatment costs for foreigners including Korean : Fully covered

○ Countries that demand treatment costs from foreigners including Korean : Not covered

○ Countries that support part of the treatment costs for foreigners : Costs for hospitalization are covered, but costs for treatment, meal, etc are not covered

3. Notice above is only for foreign arrivals. and local infections can be covered by Korean government.
