[2021] Notice about Change of Major

Inha students are able to have an apportunity to change their major as follows:

If you wish to change your major, please see the following information on steps and schedule to make a change in your academic curriculum. The guidelines for the change of major also contain the process of application and more detailed resources to help you out.

1. schedule

※ After appllying for change of major on the Inha portal website, your applicantion will be processed ONLY when the fee is paid successfully.

※ Please be on time every step.

※ During the application period, detailed consultations other than questions about the application process are not available.

2. Guidelines for applicants : the number of students available to transfer (refer to the attached files)
3. Application fee

  -  For most of normal departments : KRW 30,000won

 -  For the departments with interview or practical exams : KRW 40,000 won

4. Detailed extra information

1. The Change of Major will be permitted only once during the period of enrollment

       (Please note that you CANNOT return to the original major after changing)

2. Since transfer students might have difficulty in graduating within eight semesters, we strongly recommend consulting with the department officer first before applying. A lot of  prerequisite courses and major credits can make you take a long time to finish them. so please apply carefully after receiving the course guidance from the department office.

3. Please note that you CANNOT cancel the change of your major at all once it is officially finalized.

4. It is NOT possible to repeate the courses you already completed in your previous major after changing your major.

5. Students of College of Future Convergence can apply for a transfer among the other departments only in college of  future convergence.

    

   5.  Details for Global Convergence Studies

   1) Studnets ONLY in their 2nd grade are allowed to transfer, but students in their 3rd and 4th grade are NOT allowed to.

   2) There are a total of 29 students each who can transfer in and out. : For IBT Dept.  11 persons / For ISE Dept. 10 persons / For KLC Dept. 8 persons respectively.

   3) The assessment in Shool of Global Convergence Studies is interview : The topics are as follows ; Reasons for choosing a major / Planning a graduate course / Checking the contents and connectivity of the courses related to the major of interest  / Career plan after graduation (doctoral or employment) / Area of your interest / Major contents of courses taken and extracurricular for transfer to ISE
