□ COVID-19(PCR) Test

○ All international students coming to Korea are required to have a PCR COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours before their departure and their negative test result must be shown at the airline check-in counter prior to boarding the flight to South Korea.

- Any person who submits an inadequate PCR test result or who fails to submit it will be denied boarding the airplane and be unable to pass the airport arrival hall as well.

* If you depart on 2021.Jan.10. at 10:00, only documents issued after 2021.Jan.7. 00:00 are accepted.

** Only gene detection test(Real-time Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction) is accepted.

*** The negative PCR test result must be written in English or Korean. For test result written in foreign language, it should be presented together with a certified translation in English or Korean.

○ If you show one of COVID-19 symptoms at the entry screening of the airport, you must take a COVID-19(PCR) test at the airport. Meanwhile, asymptomatic entrants are subject to a COVID-19(PCR) test at a local public health center within 24 hours of entry.

○ After you enter Korea, you must take another COVID-19(PCR) test at local public health center near the quarantine place just one day before being released from the quarantine(14 days).

□ How to get from the airport to the screening station, Self-Quarantine, etc.

○ You are required to install the “Self-Quarantine Safety Protection App” on your phone at airport immigration and you must go directly from the airport to self-quarantine place(or local public health center).

- When moving, you must follow prevention instructions susch as wearing a mask, etc. Otherwise, you may face up to a 100,000KRW fine.

○ You must make sure to secure an independent living space during 14 days quarantine and follow the instructions such as avoiding leaving your quarantine place and responding to the Covid-App every day.

- You must respond to Self-Quarantine Safety Protection App every day during your self-quarantine period and immediately report to your local public health center and school if you begin to show any kind of symptoms.

○ If you fail to comply with quarantine guidelines, you will be compelled to wear a Safety Band(a location-tracking wristband) or ordered to quarantine at the designated facility at your own expense. Penalty or forced deportation can be imposed.

- If violators of quarantine guidelines are infected with COVID-19, all treatment costs will be imposed to themselves.

□ When COVID-19 is confirmed

○ International students who test positive for COVID-19(PCR) are transferred to one of the designated hospital or residential treatment center operated by government.

○ The amount of hospital treatment bills will be charged to students or Korean government differently based on the principle of international relations regarding Coronavirus prevention.

○ If you are found to have violated quarantine rules such as false submission of COVID-19(PCR) test result or leaving the quarantine location without permission, you will be charged for all treatment costs.
