1. In case of getting the scholarship on admission average point of the last semester must be at least 3.2.
2. Students receiving 'While studying' scholarships are able to receive scholarships for academic excellence.
3. 'Academic scholarships' students are required to register for at least 16 credits and get at least 15 credits per
semester, except for the first semester.


  Validity

Awarded scholarships are only valid during the semester which was designated in the application unless specified in the scholarship award.


  Scholarship GPA Requirements

• Academic credits required for each semester are stipulated in Article 39 of the School Regulations
• Academic credits acquired during summer/winter sessions and for internships will not be reflected in a
    student’s GPA
• GPAs that have been corrected will not be recognized


  Restrictions on Eligibility

Students who come under one of the following categories can apply for scholarships the following semester:
• Returning students (Academic Excellence Scholarship)
• Re-admitted students
• Students just released from disciplinary action
• Students who were hired by the university but failed to perform properly (Work-Study Scholarship)
• Violators of school regulations


  Double Scholarships Restrictions

• Students are not allowed to receive two different scholarships at the same time.
• If a student is offered two different scholarships, he/she can only accept one of the scholarships. However,
    the following scholarships may be awarded in conjunction with another scholarship:
    - Work-Study Scholarship
    - Disability Scholarship
    - Brothers/Sisters Scholarship (for students with siblings enrolled at Inha University)
    - Achievement Scholarship
    - Foreign Language Scholarship (for students who demonstrate excellence in a foreign language)
    - Leadership Scholarship
    - Special scholarship approved by the President


  Losing Eligibility and Scholarship Aid

• When a student comes under one of the following categories, he/she will lose eligibility for the remainder of
    his/her time at university:
    - Students who have been suspended for more than 30 days
    - Students who applied for a scholarship with falsified documents
    - Students who are not suitable for the purpose of the scholarship
• When a student comes under one of the following categories, he/she will lose eligibility for the semester:
    - Students who have been suspended for less than 30 days
    - Recipients of the Jungseok Scholarship/Academic Excellence Scholarship/New Freshman Scholarship who
      withdrew from courses and did not meet the scholarship requirements
    - Recipients of the Academic Excellence Scholarship/Scholarship for Disadvantaged Students who transfer to
      another department
    - Students who exceed the number of semesters set by Article 24 of the School Regulations or are registered
      as part-time students
    - Recipients of the New Freshman Scholarship/Achievement Scholarship/Global Scholarship who have fully
      registered more than 8 academic semesters including leave period of absence and suspension period
      (10 semesters for architecture and 12 semesters for medicine)
    - Students who are not suitable for the purpose of the scholarship


  Selection Procedure

• The Dean of Student Affairs issues scholarship certificates to colleges and departments with the approval of
    the President.
• Scholarship certificates can be used to pay for part or all of a student’s tuition for the semester in which the
    certificates are issued.
• Scholarship certificates cannot be exchanged for cash. However, some scholarship certificates may still be
    valid after the semester if the recipients are selected after the registration period of that semester.


  Replacement of Recipients

• If a selected recipient falls under Article 10 or 12 of the Scholarship Regulations, he/she can be replaced with another qualified student.

• 1st year~3rd year students must take at least 16 credits and 4th year students must take at least 12 credits.
• Academic credits earned during summer/winter sessions and for internships can be calculated towards
    graduation credits, but will not be considered when applying for a scholarship.
• 'Course withdrawal is not allowed' means that even if a student registers for 21 credits and stillmaintains
    more than 17 credits even after course withdrawal, he/she will not be eligible to receive the scholarship.
