제1조 (명칭) 본 연구소는 인하대학교 부설 국제관계연구소(이하 “본 연구소”라 한다)라 한다.

제2조 (위치) 본 연구소는 인하대학교(이하 “본 연구소”라 한다) 내에 둔다.

제3조 (목적) 본 연구소는 국제관계의 제반 문제에 대한 기초 및 응용연구를 조화롭게 수행함으로써 학술 연구의 국내외 발전에 기여함을 목적으로 한다.

제4조 (사업) 본 연구소는 제3조의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 다음의 사업을 수행한다.

1. 국제관계 제 문제에 대한 학술연구 및 정책연구

2. 각종 국제관계 연구출판 : 국제관계 학술도서 및 연구결과 보고서, 정기간행물 및 수시 연구물의 간행

3. 연구발표회, 산학협동 워크숍, 공개 강연회의 개최

4. 해외연수 및 국제협력을 위한 연구사업

5. 기타 본 연구소의 목적을 달성하기 위한 사업

제5조 (구성) 본 연구소에는 연구원, 특별연구원, 연구교수 및 자문위원을 둔다.

1. 연구원 : 본 연구소의 연구원은 본 연구소의 목적에 찬동하는 사람으로 구성하며 소장이 위촉한다.

2. 특별연구원 : 특별연구원은 본 연구소의 목적에 찬동하는 국내외 학자 중 소장의 제 청으로 총장이 위촉한다.

3. 연구교수 : 연구교수는 본 연구소의 찬동하고 전문적인 자격을 가진 자 중 본 대학교의 계약제연구교수 임용규정에 따라 임용한다.

4. 자문위원 : 자문위원은 본 연구소의 목적에 찬동하는 국내외 인사 중 소장의 제청으로 총장이 위촉한다.

제6조 (소장) 소장은 본 연구소를 대표하고 업무를 통할하며 총장이 임명한다. 소장의 임기는 2년으로 한다.

제7조 (부소장) 부 소장은 3인 이내로 둘 수 있다. 부소장은 소장의 업무를 보좌하며 연구소의 운영 및 정기간행물에 관한 제반 업무와 국제교류업무를 담당한다.

제8조 (운영위원회) 본 연구소에는 운영위원회를 둔다, 운영위원회는 소장이 이를 소집하고 그 의장이 된다.

제9조 (운영위원) 운영위원은 본 대학의 전임교수 중에서 소장이 제청으로 총장이 위촉한다. 운영위원의 임기는 2년으로 한다.

제10조 (운영위원회 심의사항) 운영위원회는 다음 사항을 심의하며, 그 결과는 본 대학교 연구관리위원회에 보고되어야 한다.

2. 연구과제의 선정

3. 편집위원회 보고사항 청취

4. 연구 사업계획, 연구과정 및 결과의 평가

5. 기타 연구소 운영상의 중요사항

제11조 (정기간행물) 본 연구소는 정기간행물로 Pacific Focus를 병행하며, 연구윤리에 관한 사항은 별도로 제정한 국제관계연구소 Pacific Focus 연구윤리지침을 따른다.

제12조 (연구센터) 본 연구소에는 연구사업을 효율적으로 수행하기 위하여 다음의 영역별 연구센터를 두며, 전문연구원을 둘 수 있다.

1. 안보연구센터

2. 이주 및 재외동포연구센터

3. K학술확산연구센터 

제13조 (연구센터장) 연구센터장은 해당 연구영역별 업무를 관장하며, 본 연구소의 소장이 임명하고 그 임기는 2년으로 한다. 연구센터장은 연임할 수 있다.

제14조 (내부조직의 확대) 본 연구소는 연구사업의 효율성을 위하여 기존 연구센터를 확대하거나 새로운 연구주제로 본부, 실, 센터를 설치하여 운영할 수 있다.

제15조 (내부조직의 장) 내부조직의 장은 관련된 영역의 센터 유치 및 운영에 관한 책을 진다. 내부조직의장은 소장이 임명한다.

제16조 (재정) 본 연구소의 재정은 본 대학교 연구비, 외부연구비, 국내외 유지의 기부금 및 보조금, 기타 수입금으로 충당한다.

제17조 (회계연도) 본 연구소의 회계연도는 본 대학교 회계연도를 따른다.

제18조 (연구비 지급 및 관리) 연구비의 지금 및 관리는 본 대학교의 연구비관리규정에 따른다.

제19조 (연구소의 폐지) 본 연구소를 폐지하려고 할 때에는 본 대학교 연구관리위원회의 의결을 거쳐 총장이 이를 행한다.

제20조 (규정준용 및 세칙설정) 이 규정에 규정되지 않은 사항은 본 대학교 규정을 준용하며, 이규정을 시행하기 위한 세부사항에 관하여는 운영위원회의 심의를 거쳐 별도의 세칙을 설정할 수 있다.

1. 이 규정은 1985년3월 1일부터 시행한다.

2. 이 개정규정은 1994년 9월 20일부터시행한다.

3. 이 개정규정은 2005년 3월 1일부터시행한다.

4. 이 개정규정은 2008년 6월 27일부터시행한다.

5. 이 개정규정은 2021년 11월 9일부터 시행한다.

 

Clause 1 (Name): This research institute is Inha Center for International Studies (name Inha Center for International Studies “the research institute”below).  

 

Clause 2 (Location): The research institute is located in Inha University.

 

Clause 3 (Goal): The research institute conducts fundamental and applied research on issues of international relations with the purpose of domestic and international academic development.

 

Clause 4 (Project): The research institute conducts the projects below to achieve the purpose in Clause 3.

 

1.      academic and policy research on issues of international relations

2.      publication of international relations research: book, journal article, and report

3.      academic conference,   industrial-educational   cooperation   workshop, and colloquium

4.      training and exchange program for international research cooperation

5.      other projects for the purposes of the   research institute

 

Clause 5 (Structure): The research institute consists of researcher, research fellow, research professor, and advisory committee member.

 

1.          Researcher: the director of the research institute appoints a researcher who agrees with the purposes of the research institute.

2.        Research fellow: the chancellor appoints a research fellow among domestic and international scholars who agree with the purposes of the research institute with the director’s recommendation.

3.          Research professor: a person who agrees with the purposes of the research institute is appointed as a research professor by following the employment regulations of temporary research professor.

4.          Advisory   committee  member:   Advisory   committee  members who agree with   the purposes of the research institute is appointed by the chancellor of Inha University with the director’s recommendation.

 

Clause 6 (Director): A director of the research institute is a representative who supervises all works. The director is appointed by the chancellor of Inha University. His or her term is two years.  

 

Clause 7 (Vice Director): No more than three vice directors can be appointed. Vice directors support a director’s duty and are in charge of managing the research institute, publication, and international cooperation.

 

Clause 8 (Steering Board): The research institute includes a steering board. The director convenes a meeting of the steering board and is a chair.  

 

Clause 9 (Steering Board Member): A full-time professor is appointed by the chancellor of Inha University as a steering board member. The term of the steering board member is two years.

 

Clause 10 (Steering Board’s Subjects of Deliberation): The steering board deliberates the subjects below and reports results to Inha University’s Research Management Committee.

 

1.        Fundamental plans of the   research institute

2.        Selection of research projects

3.        Collecting the editorial board’s report

4.        Evaluation of research projects’ plan, procedures, and results

5.          Other important subjects of   the research institute

 

Clause 11 ( Periodical   Publication ): The research institute publishes   Pacific Focus ,a   periodical   publication by following ethics guidelines on   Pacific Focus   that   the research institute enacted.

 

Clause 12 ( Office of Research ): The research institute can establishes   offices of research   and appoints research fellows for research fields below.

 

1.        Center for Security Studies    

2.        Immigration and Overseas Korean Center

3.        K-Academics Diffusion Research Center

  

 

Clause 13 (Head of Research Office): Each head of research office supervises duties of each office. The steering board members are appointed by the chancellor of Inha University with the director’s recommendation as heads of research offices. The term of them is two years.

 

Clause 14 (Extension of Organization): The research institute can extend existing research offices or establish a research center for a new research project in order to effective research.   

 

Clause 15 (Head of Research Center): A head of a research center takes charge of establishing and managing the center. The director appoints heads of centers.

 

Clause 16 (Finance): Funds for the research institute’s finance are from internal and external research funds, donations, subsidies, and other sources.

  

Clause 17 (Fiscal Year): The research institute’s   fiscal   year   follows a fiscal   year   of Inha Uniiversity.

 

Clause 18 (Management of Research Fund): Management of research funds follows the research fund regulation of Inha University.

 

Clause 19 (Abolition of the Research Institute): Abolition of the research institute is decided by Inha University’s Research Management Committee, and the chancellor of Inha University abolishes the research institute.   

 

Clause 20 (Application and Amendment of Law): Subjects that the laws do not cover apply laws of Inha University. The laws are amended through deliberation ofthe steering board.

1. This regulationshall take effect on March 1, 1985.

2. This revisedregulation shall take effect on September 20, 1994.

3. This revisedregulation shall take effect on March 1, 2005.

4. This revisedregulation shall take effect on June 27, 2008.
